Coos Bay North Bend Water Board workers have a new tentative union contract agreement. Below are the highlights of the 3 year agreement reached earlier this week for this small government unit. It is remarkable because of the tough times public workers are facing.

8.5% COLA over the next 3 years.
$75.00/yr Boot allowance

Mitigated impact of management-imposed tier 2 retirement for new hires and increased employer contribution to the new plan

Expansion of sick leave language
30 minutes paid time for new employee orientation
