Occupy Salem Launches with Hearty Crowd

A group of about 75 interested people - from a wide variety of ages - met in the cold and rain and gathering dark on Oct 4 to launch Occupy Salem with the first General Assembly.

General Assembly will take place every night at 6 pm until Sunday Oct 9 at Riverfront Park in the Pavilion.

Monday Oct 10 is the opening of the encampment at Willson Park on the grounds of the State Capitol; rally at 12:30 on the Capitol steps.
