occupy corvallis action

There was a good, lively action noon to one today in Corvallis. Maybe 75 people met at the BOA branch downtown (closed for Columbus Day) with great handmade signs and a chant-leader with bullhorn. Lots of body motion, cars honking to show support, good anti-corporate, pro-people chants. Lots of emphasis on "we are the 99%" which I think lots of working people driving by seem to connect with (and no wonder). At about 12:30 most folks marched three blocks down to the Wells Fargo branch, very lively, chanting, generally high spirits. Mostly working people, union folks and not, retired ones like me, CCDS members, and so forth. I'd say a good one-third were younger people, which was great. I had to leave just before one. It was a good, lively, high-spirited action directed at OWS issues, and against those massive banks, especially BOA (which, I read recently, because of dumb acquisitions is like a big umbrella covering a lot of junk, and in danger of failing). Anyway, it was a fine action.
