SOLIDARITY MESSAGE WITH THE STRUGGLE OF STUDENTS IN CANADA
The World Federation of Trade Unions W.F.T.U expresses full support and solidarity with the struggle of students in Canada and the more that 100 days of mobilization against the raise of 75% in university fees.
Thousands of students are demonstrated in the streets of Montreal with a hard confrontation with police forces. This demonstration does not only represent the interests of the Canadian students only but of the students Chile, in Spain and in all capitalist countries suffering the anti-popular policies and cuts in education and social spending. Especially in times of crisis, education is utilized as a new sector of profits for the multinationals, it is privatized, commercialized, its content is further downgraded.
We, the members and friends of WFTU are fighting for a public and free education for all.
