Terry Gou, chairman of Foxconn, is quoted in today's New York Times as saying, "As human beings are also animals, to manage one million animals gives me a headache."
Gou's solution for his headache? Dump the workers and increase the use of the next generation of robots in the company's factories.
Foxconn is Apple's iPhone manufacturer. The company plans to install more than one million of the new robots over the next few years in its Chinese plants in order to increase production and compete with other manufacturers, says the article.
